Meet ... Alice Couldwell

Alice is an award-winning journalist and highly-skilled storyteller and broadcaster, with several years' experience as a national radio news presenter. Now leading communications for junior parkrun, Alice develops and drives the marketing and communication strategy to inspire more children and families to be happier and healthier through movement, community and connection.

During her time in radio, Alice anchored some of the biggest moments in recent history on Heart, including the King's Coronation at Buckingham Palace, and covered large-scale sporting events including the Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium and Wimbledon.

Alice loves to champion the power of movement on both mental and physical health. She is a member of her local running group and enjoys taking part in track sessions and road races. She starts most weekends at parkrun, either running or volunteering, and is hugely passionate about the transformative impact of sport and athletics on children and young people

"I am truly honoured to be stepping into the role of Trustee for Personal Best Foundation. Having supported the charity as Board Observer for 18 months, it is a privilege to now join a team of dedicated trustees committed to creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation. As a true believer in the transformative power of movement on both physical and mental health, I feel strongly that every child should have the chance to achieve their personal best on the track, and in life. I'm excited to play a part in helping the Foundation continue its vital work and broaden its impact even further. ''
