This weekend it's the TCS London Marathon 2026, and Natalie has absolutely smashed her fundraising target and training! Raising a phenomenal £2,623! We wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate Natalie and thank her for all the hard work on and off the track with fundraising and training! We cannot wait to cheer her on on the day!
Fundraising
To help her raise over £2,600 for Personal Best Foundation, Natalie has held a series of running events at her club - Herts Phoenix at Wodson Park.
The power of community
For over 10 years Natalie has been a coaching volunteer, helping young athletes grow in confidence and ability. She also leads adult running sessions and works as a swim teacher, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to discover their potential through movement. Through this network of people Natalie has successfully held multiple running events to help her reach her target. Including a Halloween themed run and more recently a Pixie trail run. Natalie said:
''As an active member of the local athletics scene and a community run leader, this strong support through both in-person events and online promotion. has enabled me to reach and exceed my fundraising target''
Marathon Training
Her own journey with sport has taken her from Parkruns to ultramarathons and triathlons. Natalie loves a challenge, but what drives her most is helping others find the same sense of purpose, progress and belonging that sport has given her and her family.
This year - the weather has been such a challenge with it raining almost everyday during January and February! The constant down pours and cold dark morning and nights have given her extra determination and spirit, which she is going to carry in to the marathon!
On the Day - Motivation
When talking through what will be her biggest motivation on the day Natalie said:
''The Personal Best Foundation’s mission to break down barriers and create access to athletics really resonates with me. I’ve seen first-hand how sport can transform lives, and I'm feeling so be proud to be running the London Marathon knowing the money I have helped raise with help more young people discover their own personal best and make athletics and sport more accessible to all.''
On the day when things start to feel tough the knowledge that I am doing this for the Foundation will give me the extra sense of purpose and carry me through.''
