OUR RESPONSE TO THE GOVERNMENT'S NEW SPORTS STRATEGY
We’re delighted to see the launch of the government’s new sports strategy ‘Get Active’. It’s encouraging to see the increased recognition of using sport as a vehicle for positive social change and we welcome the targets set out to increase participation.
We look forward to playing our part and collaborating with others in the sector in helping to achieve the ambitions to support 1 million more children to be active by 2030 and we are clear in our own mission to prioritise support to those children and young people experiencing inequalities and poverty who are most at risk of exclusion from sport and physical activity.
